Local Investors to develop sites for Eastern European Gamblers

Two regions are likely to experience an unprecedented online gambling boom: Asia and Eastern Europe. Mentor Gaming, the international provider of online gambling software platforms is extremely optimistic about the development of the business in Eastern Europe, a market which will not stay virgin for long. According to the statements of Alon Peled, Mentor Gaming CEO, the company intends to invest approximately 14 million euros in the development of the online gambling market in the next two years.

"At this moment, Mentor Gaming is very close to striking a deal with a Romanian investor interested in launching online casinos powered by Mentor Gaming.", told Peled to a leading business newspaper. The investment is recovered in a time frame of one to two years; the online gambling industry allows for a quick recoup of the investment and this is only one of the aspects that draw investors.

There are 38 million internet users living in Eastern Europe. In the following years, Mentor Gaming estimates that, between 10 and 20% (approximately 5 million potential players) are going to visit online casinos and bet on betting sites. Together with local investors, the Mentor Gaming market analysts concluded that it is very likely that a player from Eastern Europe will gamble on the Internet an amount of approximately 70 Euros per month.
